The Elkridge Furnace Inn will be holding its 8th Annual Bastille Day Fundraiser Benefiting the Johns Hopkins Children’s Center Pediatric Trauma Service

Friday, July 31, 2009 from 7:30 pm to 11:00 pm

While this is just a small way for us to give back for the dedicated care provided to our children at the Johns Hopkins Children’s Center Pediatric Trauma Service we are happy to see this event grow each year.  The celebration will feature a wine tasting, live music, heavy hors d’oeuvres, and a silent auction.  In 2008 the event entertained more than 150 guests and raised $18,000 for the Children’s Center.  This year with your support we are hoping to increase these numbers significantly.

As a parent of children who have been cared for and are still patients of Johns Hopkins Children’s Center, this charity is near and dear to my heart, and I truly understand what a vital and critical service they provide to our community.  The numbers treated each year are staggering, as last year alone more than 8,000 pediatric patients were admitted for care and additional numbers treated as outpatients.  We hope that you agree and will take this opportunity to help us in our endeavor to further support the important work they do.  A donation in the form of a gift certificate, inventory item or service to be auctioned off at this year’s Bastille Day fundraiser would be greatly appreciated.  Take pride in knowing that your generous gift will not only delight the person who wins it, but the proceeds raised from the silent auction and ticket sales that evening will go directly to the Johns Hopkins Children’s Center.  I can’t think of a better way to support and protect our children!
